About Me:

My name is Camilla like many little girls growing up I have played house and dreamed of the day that I would have my own family. This desire has lead me to making preparations in my life to be the best mother that I can be. I studied and received and BS in Child Development with a minor in Dance from Brigham Young University Idaho. Despite this desire I am still unmarried and have no children of my own. I am old if only  in the Mormon culture; especially living the hub of the young single adult world, Provo UT. This can wear on a person and get you discouraged, I however  am overcoming this. I have been teaching children’s dance for the last four years, which has grown to  somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 children that I teach in a year.  I teach boys and girls a like and have a few nephews of my own, so I get to work with a lot of children.  As these past few years have gone by I have grown from simply being resigned to the fact there is a different path laid out before me by my  Father in Heaven then the one I have planned out my whole life, to growing in to someone that has influence over many children and can thrive in those moments I get to me a mommy. I am starting to recognize and have gratitude for my Mommy Moments. Moments when moms have shared willingly with me their beautiful children that they are raising up and let me have some influence in their lives allowing me to be a “Moment Mommy”.  I have come to this conclusion in slow steps over the years and this past Mother’s Day solidified it for me as I received many encouraging words from family and friends that I am able to have a motherly influence on the children in my life and wished ME and Happy Mother’s Day!

Therefore:

Having had this on my mind  have decided to start a blog in which I share my Mommy Moments. And hopefully encourage other women out there that desire to be a parent and they too have not been give that chance, who also can be a “Moment Mommy”. Now in doing this I wish not to claim that I am a mom to any of these children but for a moment.  Thereby I don't understand what it is to be a mom to the fullest because the fact is that, yes at the end of a long day I get to go home to my own place and kick up my feet read a book, watch a show and get a full nights sleep, or whatever I do for a night. I only need to prepare my own meals, shop for my self and all those other things that mothers around the world do 24 hours a day for their whole family.  I understand this and am simply highlighting the children and what I learn from them, fun stories and so on that help me get through the days and months and realize that I can influence children through my teaching achieving my dream, and help the next generation of children to grow up and fulfill their dreams too! Because I can be a Moment Mommy!
